for the Bed & Breakfast at Cherokee Trace
Peaceful
Atmosphere
All rentals are to responsible adults. No loud parties or music is permitted.
Any violation will result in immediate eviction from the property without
refund. We ask that you please respect not only our property but other
guests who are staying at Cherokee Trace. We want to maintain the peace
and quiet that everyone visits Cherokee Trace to enjoy. Guests with well
mannered and closely supervised children are welcome.
Access
to the Park
B & B guests have access to drive through the park with paid admission
from dawn to dusk. However, for guest and park animal safety, access to
the park after dark and before dawn is strictly prohibited. Guests have
unlimited access to the cabin and picnic areas. Walking past gates or
cattle guard is prohibited. Violation of these policies is grounds for
immediate eviction without refund.
Deposit
Deposit
of first night or 50% of entire stay is due upon confirmation of reservation
request. If paying with cash or check, the cabin is not reserved until
we receive the deposit.
Reservations
made within 14 days of stay require 100% payment regardless of payment
method. If paying with cash or check, the cabin is not reserved until
we receive payment for the entire stay.
Damage/security
deposit of $100 (in addition to the first night or 50% of entire stay)
may be required as deemed appropriate.
Refunds
A $25 service charge applies to all cancellations made prior to 14 days
of scheduled arrival.
No
refunds are made for cancellations made within 14 days of scheduled arrival.
The damage/security
deposit will be refunded if no additional cleaning or repairs of actual
damages are required to return the cabin and/or its contents to the original
condition.
There are no refunds
or credit for checking out before scheduled departure date or unused time.
Refunds will be processed
within 10 business days.
Tenant/Responsible Party
The person in whose name the cabin is reserved will be held responsible
for all occupants complying with rental policies, procedures and restrictions.
The Tenant/Responsible Party must be physically present the entire duration
of the rental stay and no subletting is allowed. Maximum occupancy is
six persons per cabin. Violation of the terms of the Tenant/Responsible
Party policy is grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
Check In/Out
Check-in is from 3 to 7 p.m. If you need to check-in after 7:00 p.m.,
please make arrangements in advance. Guests must vacate cabins the last
day of residency on or before 11:00 a.m. Failure to check out in a timely
manner may result in an additional rental fee. If you decide to check-out
before your scheduled departure date, please contact our office immediately
and notify us of your early departure. There are no refunds or credits
for early departure or unused time.
Check out Procedures:
Dishes/cookware: All cabins are furnished for normal
housekeeping with dishes, glassware, silverware and cookware. All items
are to be left clean and in cabinets.
Garbage: Please place all garbage in securely tied
bags and put them in the plastic receptacle provided.
Return of Cherokee Trace Items: All items such as blankets,
movies, and games are to be left in the cabin. If you take a book, it
would be nice to leave one in its place.
Appliances: Please check all appliances, i.e. coffee
pot, stove to be sure they are turned off after use.
Linens: Linens are provided for your convenience --
sheets, towels, blankets, etc. Extra towels can be provided upon request.
Please do not take any of the linens belonging to Cherokee Trace cabins.
You will be charged for any missing or the entire set if satisfactory
matching replacements cannot be purchased.
Smoking
Cherokee Trace is a non-smoking facility and smoking is strictly forbidden
inside any structure so that all of our guests may enjoy the Cherokee
Trace experience.
Liability for damages
Aside from normal wear and tear, you will be responsible to pay Cherokee
Trace for any damages to the property or its contents during your stay.
The damage/security deposit may be retained if additional cleaning or
repairs of actual damages are necessary to return the cabin and/or its
contents to the original condition.
Campfire
/ Outdoor Grilling
You assume the risk of personal injury and/or property damage when you
grill or burn a campfire on Cherokee Trace property. Your grill or campfire
must not be left unattended at any time. A responsible adult must supervise
children at all times.
If
a burning ban is in effect in Cherokee county, lighting grills and campfires
is strictly prohibited.
Burn
only the wood supplied by Cherokee Trace, the gathering of firewood is
not permitted. Campfires are restricted to the fire-ring provided by Cherokee
Trace.
Campfires
must be extinguished by 10:00 p.m. Please douse the fire with water to
assure that there are no live embers remaining.
Personal Items Left
We are not responsible for personal items left behind. Please be sure
to double check your cabin prior to departure. If we are asked to return
personal items to you, there will be a $10.00 service charge in addition
to postage.
Pets
Sorry, for the safety of the park animals we cannot allow pets in any
of our cabins or on our property. Violation of this policy is grounds
for immediate eviction without refund.
Entry
It may be necessary for us or our representative to enter the cabins during
reasonable hours for any purpose connected to the repair, care or management
of the property. Should this become necessary during your stay we will
make every effort to notify you in advance.
Locked Areas
Any locked area is reserved for the storage of the private property/supplies
of Cherokee Trace. These areas are not included in the rental of your
cabin.
